The club started by members of the Home Guard
The range was built in 1964 by W. Hobbs, J. Faithful, and W Beaton, the land was purchased from Mr James of the village. The land was originally tress from the where the range building now sits to the end, the car park area had been used for the storage of steam road rollers, where they were allowed to cool down over night.

During Covid 2020 the range has been completely rewired, proving modern LED lights, emergency lights, flood lights in the car park and smoke detectors. The roof joists have been treated to prevent woodworm. A new insulated suspended ceiling has been installed in the club room, inclusion of leather sofas and a coffee table to make a more comfortable and social space.
The building has been painted inside and out to give a brighter feel.
We have started to replace the roof over the outside trap doors.
